早在5月時(shí)，曾經(jīng)有媒體爆料稱(chēng)微軟決定在Windows 8發(fā)布之前取消Media Center，并改為收費項目，讓用戶(hù)選擇性購買(mǎi)和安裝，這意味著(zhù)Windows 8將會(huì )失去播放DVD的功能。

微軟在Windows Team Blog公布相關(guān)訊息，不過(guò)用戶(hù)需要注意的是，微軟這決定只針對Windows 8 Pro版本，而部份從Windows 7升級的電腦，及安裝在Surface內的Windows 8基本版，Media Center和DVD播放依然無(wú)法運行。
