The TMC389 is an energy efficient three phase stepper motor driver for high resolution microstepping applications. It integrates a low resonance three phase chopper for quiet motor operation. Its step and direction interface allows simple use. An SPI? management interface allows for parameterization and diagnostics. The TMC389 directly drives 3 external N/P channel dual MOSFETs for motor currents up to 8A and up to 60V. Protection and diagnostic features further reduce system cost and increase reliability.

TMC389評估板

The TMC389 evaluation board features a TMC389 with external power MOSFETs plus a microcontroller, which allows interfacing to a PC for visualization and control of all parameters. The motor can be operated via the step and direction interface, using either an external source, or using the integrated microcontroller as a step pulse generator.

The TMC389-EVAL allows you to explore all functions of the TMC389. The evaluation board comes with a PC software which gives you access to every function of the driver. It comes along with a StepDirection interface, a RS232 and a USB port. The TMC389-Eval is a complete "plug and play" solution, additionally only a motor, a PC and a power supply are required!
