10. 傳輸
DVB系統的核心是它的一系列傳輸規范。第一個(gè)規范是DVB-S，即DVB衛星傳輸（satellite transmission）標準，基于QPSK，現在是事實(shí)上的數字TV應用世界衛星傳輸標準。DVB-C，即電纜遞交機制（cable delivery），與DVB-S關(guān)系密切，是基于64-QAM，當然也支持更高階的調制方案。
DVB-T（terrestrial transmission）則是DVB三個(gè)核心系統中最年輕的。它基于COFDM （Coded Orthogonal Frequency Divisional Multiplexing，編碼正交頻分復用）和QPSK、16 QAM以及64 QAM，是今天可用的最復雜和最靈活的數字地面傳輸系統。DVB-T允許服務(wù)提供商不用多大努力就能匹配甚至改進(jìn)模擬電視的覆蓋。它將數字地面電視的范圍擴展到移動(dòng)領(lǐng)域（在此之前這被認為是不可能的?。?，或擴展到與其他數字系統結合。
與這三個(gè)核心標準相關(guān)聯(lián)的是一組實(shí)現指南和為微波數字電視遞交設計的文檔方案。
